Where Are The Comments?

Maybe you observe my nascent attempt at daily blogging and want to offer words of encouragement. But wait. Where are the comments?

I promise I am not trying to stifle your free speech rights.

Nor do I refuse to listen to feedback.

But there are no comments on this blog, because they might change the nature of this project. This blog is a space for me to present my ideas and thoughts. There’s a lot that goes into that - from observing the world and ironing out my jumbled ideas, to articulating my point of view in a concise, coherent manner.

Comments could complicate that goal. Distraction is seductive. Socializing is the number one thing that puts my consistency streak at risk. I have rarely met an internet rabbit hole I did not happily bunny hop down.

Nevertheless, I do hope to spur thought, discussion, debate. Or to at least assemble the necessary parts.

The internet is full of places to comment, react, share, even shitpost. You're more than welcome to do any or all of those things.

Just not here.
