The Power of Subtasks

I recently moved all of my projects to Asana from Google Calendar.

Asana allows for the creation of subtasks, which remain linked in the overall task but can be given their own due dates.

This has allowed me to plan out important - but not urgent tasks - that often get pushed to the side because they are so complex that I never know when to start, or because I forget to complete the next step.

I’m now making progress on goals that I thought were logistically six months to a year in the future, all because I’m able to break them down into smaller chunks.

It’s not the sexist productivity hack - I’ll end up doing the same amount of work in the end - but it’s helping to accelerate timelines and that’s a win I’ll happily accept.
