An Insanely Productive Month

In closing an insanely productive month, I need to take time and reflect on how it all got done.

First, and most importantly, was simply setting the intention, goal, ambition, whatever you want to call it, that I would meet my consistent blog posting schedule on Notes from Here.

Making a decision is a powerful thing.

I was determined to write, write, write, and publish, publish, publish, and I found ways to make it happen.

I turned down social invitations, I worked through what used to be my relaxation time. I got it done.

Unfortunately, my eyes are bigger than my stomach.

I pulled forward a project that I planned to tackle in August, hiring a virtual assistant.

It pulled my attention away from my primary goal of hitting the post schedule, but it was a time investment that I hope will help to meaningfully scale the blog in the coming months.

And finally, I hit a milestone that I’d been aiming for since seriously investing in Notes from Here last August when the blog made its first revenue!

The amount was not huge, but it was nevertheless significant.

It was a validation that the basic business model of the blog is sound. Now we just need to grow.

There’s a ton on my plate for the month of August, plus a lot of travel, so I’ll be hard-pressed to replicate the wins of July.

I’ve always grown from pushing myself, though.

Excited to see what August brings.
