Consider a Picnic

When the weather outside is beautiful and someone suggests a picnic, it’s so easy to think about all of the steps and pause before agreeing.

You need to gather up a blanket to be spread across the grass, and you probably should stop by the grocery store to pick up some drinks and snacks. And what to do with true leisure time? Perhaps throw a book in your bag as well.

Sure, it may feel daunting when the alternative is to continue lying on the couch, watching episode after episode of old sitcoms.

But you acquiesce, and gather the blanket, collect the snacks, grab a book from the nightstand. And as you lounge under the shade of a tree, your head resting on the worn pigskin of an American football, you’re reminded how all of the best things in life take a little bit of effort.
