What is it about pulling for the underdogs?

I guess we’ve all felt underestimated before.

Told that our rank or our pedigree weren’t enough. 

Part of the allure of rooting for the underdog is that maybe, just maybe, our performance might matter more than our provenance or others’ assumptions. 

Part of the dream of rooting for the underdog is an inner knowing that we have what it takes to prevail.
