A juxtaposition presented without commentary:
When someone tells you about a virtue they are known to embody, this is often a sign that they do not, actually, embody that virtue.
Modern women know this well - if a guy tells you he’s a gentleman, there’s a good chance that he wants to be perceived as one, but a significantly lower chance that he actually is a gentleman.
Meanwhile, when corporations present a list of company values, are we expected to believe it?
Rarely is an organization’s real culture written plainly on the wall.
